And the shading and light on BB' hair... And... the whole... well... Maan, i want to draw like you ._.
Anyway, here comes criticism XD
You should practice on drawing hands, as they look... a little flat and like they were... like a 18-wheels just rolled along them O_o'' And the greenish color around BB's mouth - what is that? A shade? I mean... It doesn't look like one and from where the light would shine if it was going to be a shade?

About that greenish color, I was trying to have the shadows from the tree branches and leaves cast down on them, and I kept going back and forth on the opacity trying to get the shade just dark enough...
About the background, I did use different layers... I guess it's just I don't know what brushes or things to use... I think you're right about having a reference, though. I may just go out next time a take a picture and trace over it or something. I really need to get back into photography...
